Water and Religion by Spindletop Member Dr. Pamela Saur

Water is essential to all life and many civilizations have considered it a major element or basic substance.  It has individual, social, natural, and religious meanings in cultures of many centuries and across the globe. In fact, water plays a role in rituals more often than any other element or material form. This talk will discuss religious roles of water and various beliefs and practices of spiritual bathing.
